Varane is free to speak with clubs outside of England, with pre-contract talks now a possibility, and the reports that the former France international is undecided on whether he would accept a reduced offer in order to remain in Manchester.

Varane is not actively looking for a move in the January transfer window, but does feel as though he is being forced out, and is disappointed at how things are playing out for United as a collective in 2023-24 – with there issues to be addressed on and off the field. Varane has missed seven games for the Red Devils this season, and 38 out of 138 in total since joining from Real Madrid in 2021.
