Pochettino is scouting some of the fringe names in the USMNT player pool, attending the Championship clash between Watford and Burnley with U.S. hopeful Caleb Wiley lining up for the Hornets. Wiley is hoping to break into the national team picture after showing flashes of promise at the club level. The former Atlanta United man made a $10 million move to Chelsea in August 2024, but is yet to see his European career take off. Friday's fixture is just his 13th appearance in league football in eight months.
Also in the fold is Burnley's Luca Koleosho, who has made a handful of youth national appearances for the U.S., but also has eligibility for both Canada and Italy.

Wiley has been in and out of the USMNT picture for the past two years. He made his international debut in 2023, and played twice at the 2024 Olympics.
