The United States international is happy to step outside of personal and professional comfort zones, with a move to Germany at Borussia Dortmund made while still in his teens. There were no language barriers to break down when linking up with Premier League giants Chelsea, but Pulisic was on the move again in 2023.

He is now on the books of Serie A heavyweights Milan, with an impressive debut campaign being enjoyed at San Siro, and he has started to master another new language – allowing him to become better acclimated to life in Italy. Pulisic has told when asked if he has added another linguistical string to his bow: “I’m doing my best, taking lessons. I can understand everything the coaches are saying!”

While working hard off the field, Pulisic’s priority is to continue thriving on it. He was named Serie A Player of the Month for December and enjoyed a dream start to life in Milan when netting on his competitive debut for the Rossoneri. He added on making an immediate impact: “It’s not something that’s going to happen—scoring, that is—every time you debut [with a new club]. It obviously helps a lot and gives you a lot of confidence. But there have been times where I’ve gone places and my first game was extremely difficult. It’s about patience and trusting that the work that you put in will pay off. No one’s going to score every single game. Sometimes it takes a bit, sometimes it happens right away. That’s just life!”
WHAT NEXT FOR PULISIC?
Pulisic and Milan will be back in action on Sunday when playing host to reigning Serie A champions Napoli. They will then be in continental action next week as Ligue 1 outfit Rennes pay a visit to San Siro for the first leg of Europa League knockout round play-off encounter.
